Turnover in urban Churches can be fairly high. Here is a real example. Four years ago, we assigned someone the task of taking photos at the Church door, then we put the photos up on our notice-board with names underneath. Here are the photos we took on a single Sunday morning. All of these people were among our better known churchgoers. Today, seven of the ten have moved away. Six no longer attend. Two of these six were valued leaders in the Church. OBSERVATION: This dynamic was a shock to me when I first entered urban ministry, but now I trust God to replenish His Church (which He does).
