Last year, a Chinese citizen, X., received Christ in my vestry. I encouraged her to publicly commit to the Church in China. She wavered. There was opposition to the Church in her area, she said, and Christians needed to register. A moment ago, I received this e-mail: “Dear Rev. Thomas, This is X., the Chinese girl who was in the Church last year. I just want to send my regards to you and the Church, I have been bimptized in China. I would love to hear the words from you. kind regards, God Bless, X.” OBSERVATION: "Bimptizm" would be the Chinese version of "baptism"! This is a really heartening note. An example of evangelising peoples far away, in your own Church -- a growing global phenomenon.
