
At this time of year, thousands if not millions of these critters cross the roads in the Karoo semi-desert – all migrating in the same direction -- it's the Giant African Millipede. I took this photo at 100 ISO, 1/799 sec. A similar photo at 1/24 sec. was blurred, as these millipedes were moving so fast. The photo may be enlarged to 130k.
