Chores And Church

I would estimate that 10-20% of our congregation are regularly affected by the demand to work on Sunday. Some cannot come to Church at all. We discussed this at our last elders' meeting -- and decided that it was something in the first instance that we should encourage the worker to take in hand. Jesus said: "Ask and it will be given to you." Therefore we shall encourage congregants to trust God, and to go to their employers and ask for time to attend Church. OBSERVATION: There have been a few instances where employees have been threatened with dismissal if they will go to Church.
