Church Plant Failures

Three years ago, I noted on this blog that Church plants are common in our Atlantic Area of Cape Town -- a small patch about 9 square km or 4 square miles. But within my limited knowledge, I am aware of 8 out of 10 Church plants that have closed or moved out during the past ten years. That's an 80% failure rate: the French Church, the Shona Church, Christ Embassy, Destiny, In Via, Seventh-Day Adventist, Baptist, and Joshua Generation. And arguably Watoto. Those Church plants which I know have stayed are Winning Souls Ministries (our associate Church), and the Church of England. OBSERVATION: It would be interesting if there are any commonalities here. Let me know, anyone, if I have made any mistakes, or if I can improve my list.
