A member asked me tonight: What do I mean when I say that a minister must be called? Here is the answer that I gave "off the top of my head". I said that ministry is spiritual warfare -- which need not be negatively understood. However, this means that it cannot be approached through human competence, or it is likely to fail. It cannot be approached as one might approach, say, accountancy or engineering or management. It is about principalities and powers in heavenly places, and a continual reliance on God in engaging with them. OBSERVATION: There are many interpretations of "calling", some on this blog.
