Ministerial Overtime

I never had overtime in my salary. I doubt that many ministers do. However, there came the day when my Church strangely asked me how much overtime I had worked -- and slotted the new category into my payslip. I did a conservative calculation, came up with hundreds of hours (over a year), and presented it to them. This was followed by complete silence. I said what happened to the question about overtime? There was no answer. OBSERVATION: One survey shows that pastors work, on average, 55 hours a week (Baptist Press). Another shows that congregations expect a pastor to work, on average, 114 hours a week (Thom Rainer).
