Being Zulu

This is I think an instructive video. It is the famous missionary Rev. Erlo Stegen of KwaSizabantu speaking Zulu, at the age of 80 (on the right). Interpreting is Kjell Olsen, the director of the teachers training college in KwaSizabantu. The clip reveals, I think, part of the reason for the success of the KwaSizabantu Mission. People who learn Zulu tend merely to speak Zulu. Erlo, when he speaks Zulu, becomes a Zulu. Notice how the people respond to him. They are announcing an engagement in Church. The clip is 42 seconds long.
