The Church That Was

Here's a disastrous tale I learned today: it's about the new Congregational Church (that was) in the South African suburb of Chicago. The congregation built a new Church, and got it up to roof height. All they needed now was to put corrugated iron sheets up on the roof. But thieves came and stole the whole Church -- even removed its concrete foundations from the ground. The pastor said the thieves would process the foundations, and extract the steel.
