Presidential Dynamic

There is presently great commotion surrounding South Africa's president, which has made headlines worldwide. I'll comment on it from a pastoral point of view, intuitively -- which is to say, as I would think to myself in pastoral counselling. Even if one strips out the names and places from this scenario, one has a constellation of improper moves by the president. But what has come over the president? It is the kind of behaviour one sees when someone knows that they are exposed. People might have a beautiful veneer, before (inside of them) that happens. When they think they are known, the restraint comes off. OBSERVATION: That is not to say that this has to be the case with the president, but it is a dynamic which would be a candidate in counselling.
