A Gullible Lot

I blame South Africans for the state of the nation. The stupidity of the ruses that officials resort to throughout society leads me to believe, unfortunately, that we are a hugely guillible lot, or something of the sort. Perhaps we hugely misjudge human nature, or are under some major illusions. I don’t think it is mere ignorance. The most recent incident in my own experience: I showed a highly placed official a breach of contract. Yes, she said, she could see it clearly. But I shouldn’t worry about that. Most people signed a different contract anyway. She looked at me to see if I would buy it. No, I wouldn’t. So she switched tack. I could tell a hundred stories like that.
