Offal And Tripe

This post is not for the faint-hearted. It is a photo of an aunt on my wife’s side preparing, well, yes, offal. My father told me that offal was his favourite food, although one would surely have to go far to find it in the UK today. He was born in 1927, in Welton (north of the Humber). OBSERVATION: Offal (in Afrikaans, afval) is the entrails and internal organs of an animal used as food. It includes the proverbial tripe.
