Astrophotography

This is my first attempt at motion astrophotography. It squeezes two hours into twelve seconds. It is my parents-in-laws house -- which is a very busy place, as will be seen. Note the Southern Cross descending in the centre. OBSERVATION: I set the exposure to capture both the house and sky. One can do this with the GIMP image editor (free): use an interval timer to obtain multiple shots, open them as layers in GIMP, then go to the master video encoder (a GIMP plugin), enter the desired frame rate, and compile.

POSTSCRIPT: It needs enlarging, or the stars may be lost.
