My Mother

This is a photo of my mother, taken earlier this year, with two great-grandchildren. She is now 82. Interestingly, she pointed out to me that the last time a Mr. Scarborough married an English Mrs. Scarborough was in the 1920s. All four Mrs. Scarboroughs since then have been non-English -- and from three continents. OBSERVATION: My mother was the first non-English Mrs. Scarborough, being born in (today) Szczecin in Pomerania, a major seaport on the Baltic. I once travelled there to see her birthplace.
