Colonel Bird's Bath

This is a peaceful picture in the midst of a tumultuous 24 hours. It is the source of the great Liesbeeck River in Cape Town. It was built in the early 1800s by Colonel Christopher Bird, Deputy Colonial Secretary. He humorously shaped it like a bird. It is also known as Lady Anne Barnard’s Bath, and is rumoured that she bathed there in the nude. But that can't be, as she left the Cape before the bath was built. OBSERVATION: Unless, that is, she didn't need it to be built.
