Children's Bibles

In city ministry, our Church subsidised Bibles in various languages. We shifted a great many Bibles that way -- and in many cases, even gave them away free. Then we noticed that most of the children in Church didn't have their own Bible. I searched for a suitable Bible, and found the One Year Children's Bible by Tyndale House. This is a children's translation rather than a storytelling. But which children should receive one? We decided, all -- and we decided on a Sunday to hand them out in Church. Curiously, when that Sunday came, there were children in Church we didn't know! But had we not decided, all? They all received a Bible. OBSERVATION: It was an expensive hand-out, but one we thought to be money very well invested.
