A professed electronics expert this week publicly "trashed" the solar power system which appears on this blog, calling it "completely incorrect". The trouble is, there is nothing wrong with it (it's at
African Solar). At this moment, it is up and running in a number of homes. It is designed so that it may be put together in Africa without any tools -- not even a soldering iron. It has protected input and output, so that it will withstand serious botch-ups. And it is adaptable, in a number of ways.
