It was hard to see -- perhaps impossible to see -- what we would achieve when we took on a Church in the Karoo a year ago. I said from the start that I was simply there to be faithful, and to see what God Himself would do. Now, looking back, one can see what God has done. With our coming, the building was saved from the brink of being sold -- and we were faithful. Today, Sunday services continue their existence -- however, not as anyone could ever have anticipated. It is now a bilingual Church, rather than an English-only Church, and I myself remain on merely "on call". I received an e-mail today: "It is lovely to see such a full church." The Lord surprised us all.
