Predictions

Here is a post that I had "on the shelf", which I discovered today. It was predictions for the future of my city Church at the close of my ministry in 2013. This is interesting, because one may by now compare my predictions with actual events: 

"People have often asked me, since the close of my urban ministry -- in fact even before that -- 'What do you think will happen next?' I have said that, on my experience and training, and on the policy that I anticipate, year one would see a surge of interest in the Church; year two would see an implosion of the congregation; years three to five would see most of the capital used up. OBSERVATION: That was an academic judgement, or predicting 'on any such Church'. Were my predictions correct? There are people who would know better than me."
