I took this photo in 2003. The blue of lagoon and sky seemed to overpower my camera, a digital Olympus. It is Tarawa lagoon. The boy had made himself a canoe of a sheet of corrugated iron -- which kept sinking, so he kept turning it over to empty it. OBSERVATION: I myself spent endless hours of my childhood swimming in this warm lagoon. Also, we would disembark from the missionary ship the John Williams VII at low tide in the lagoon, to wade ashore. These were long, long wades.
