Making The Urban Church Work

Yesterday I rediscovered an article I wrote in 2007 on (click here) Making the Urban Church Work. I wrote it not only as a "how to", but as a "how we did it". At this time, an ailing urban Church had taken off, and it was going to get better. The article highlighted features I believe(d) to be central to a viable and vibrant urban Church. OBSERVATION: I concluded: "It also remains to be seen what long-term effects the significant shifts in our congregation are to have. In particular, I am mindful that our 'old-timers' have witnessed a great deal of change." This would become critical in the years to come.
