The Church At Tamana

Here is a photo which is surely of special historical interest. My mother showed it to me today. It was taken fifty years ago, on the small island of Tamana in the (now) Republic of Kiribati. It is a Church of the (then) Gilbert Islands Protestant Church. My mother is at the rear in the centre. OBSERVATION: The fact that anyone put up a Church like this on Tamana, where there are no building materials, seems inconceivable. I lived on Tamana as a boy.
