House Hassles

Our little cottage is run off the sun, and obtains its water from a river. On this blog, I have described my journeys in getting it all to work in harmony. Wife E and I have been liberal in letting people use the cottage free. But visitors have not been familiar with a “natural” house. Two large batteries power the house. After recent visitors left, they had both been destroyed – probably through people’s “innocence” as to how batteries work. That is quite a cost. This further meant that the alarm system was down, and the hot water system was at risk. OBSERVATION: Another, major issue is that city visitors are used to unlimited use of water. We have one kilolitre, which is good, but it is definitely limited, and one cannot afford to let it run dry.
