It's a very simple principle, but I have used it, not only in Sunday services, but throughout Church groups, events, meetings. When you begin, set the focus on God, who He is, and / or what He has done. In the Sunday service, this is called the "call to worship". One often finds such emphasis in the Bible, often at critical moments. Moses with the elders of Israel, Nehemiah with the officials of Jerusalem, Peter at the Council of Jerusalem, and so on. And in the Bible anyway, it changes everything that follows. OBSERVATION: Believe it or not, if one doesn't have this emphasis and seeks to introduce it, there can be resistance.
