I don't ordinarily pay much attention to what my editing is doing, so it was good to realise, last night, that three of the last year's top five articles of the weekly Philosophical Investigations were my task or responsibility (right). One is a piece of my own, edited by another editor, and two are pieces of others, edited by myself. The edits were what I call radical (one might say "invasive"). OBSERVATION: However, unless they had been substantive submissions in the first place, my editing wouldn't have brought them this far. Thanks to God.
