Strange Rumour

About my ministries, I have heard any number of rumours over the years. The latest, last week. During my city ministry, we decided to take an associate Church on board (pictured) -- a major work which bore much fruit. "The decision was reversed," goes the latest rumour, "because it was Thomas'." OBSERVATION: The rumour is of a classic type, which I have heard in many different forms. It is easy to spot that it is false. The minister, in a Congregational Church, does not take decisions -- least of all, of such a magnitude. The rest of the rumour is very strange. The (once) associate Church now meets seven miles away, and continues to thrive.
