Restored Fortunes

Mid-year, my Church in the Karoo (pictured) nearly suffered a terminal blow. It was hit by a freak storm, so that its entire roof was lifted off its moorings, and a large part of it blown away. This destabilised the whole Church -- not that it should have done. The council was out, the consulent was out, the congregation was out, and the building was severely damaged. Today, the council is back, the consulent is back, the congregation is back, and the roof has been repaired. One struggle remains: through all of this, attendance suffered a heavy blow. But this may merely be a matter of time.
