I commented to a mentoree tonight that one would not believe that readers of my metaphysic, or total philosophy, were commenting on the same book. He had a perceptive question: did any of the opinions coincide? Yes, so they did, immediately it was clear -- and those were positive opinions. OBSERVATION: At the end of the day, though, a metaphysic is not written to satisfy opinions -- nor any particular camp. I have said for example that my metaphysic is open to evangelicalism -- but not because I tried. That would not be a "ruthless" metaphysic, as all metaphysics should be.
