Reclaimed Cape Town

Much of central Cape Town is reclaimed from the sea -- which includes all that one sees in this photo. On the right of this road is (technically) the City Centre, and on the left the Foreshore. In the foreground is a bus station. Behind the camera is the City Council building. OBSERVATION: Good luck with the reclamation. With 2°C (3.6°F) global warming or higher, all that one sees here is apparently done for. So says the World Economic Forum. For a less hopeful view, see CarbonVirgin.
