I took this photo at a fund-raising event, for a Church building fund. This is standard African fare. It is what one may expect at a South African feast. Some other things one might see on a plate are lamb, offal, rice, sweet potato, beans, and some things besides.
OBSERVATION: This is a small plate of food, in comparison with most feasts I have been to. But then, they were raising funds here. Some of the things which would not surprise one on a European menu are thought to be very strange. People still talk about the olives that appeared at my wedding.
