Useful Charity

There was a brief video on the BBC this week, which reminded me much of city ministry. A man has a job, he pays taxes, yet he does not have enough to keep a roof over his head. In the video, he is said to be one of many. In city ministry, our major gifts of charity mostly went to people who were in a similar situation. They were hard working, they had jobs, and often had a family, but they were at risk of dropping below a line from which they might not recover. Nearly always, this was Church members. OBSERVATION: That was really useful charity work, that made a big difference to people's lives.
