Thinking further on ages in Church, Churches which wish to make a significant impact among under 35-year-olds need people in the 65+ category. Leadership professor Eddie Gibbs wrote that this "was proved by our research from the 1998 English Church Attendance Survey. We found that 42% of churches grew when 25% of their attenders were 65+, the highest percentage of any age mix". OBSERVATION: In other words, older people are very important to having younger people. The question then is: how does one integrate them -- and, what is really happening here? Of course, older people are important in themselves, not merely as part of a strategy.
