There is a distinction which Christians ought to make, but often do not make. A minister may be likeable, but that is not the best recommendation of a minister. In fact, it may be a particularly poor one. What is important is that a minister should grow the kingdom of God. OBSERVATION: At the same time, some good ministers do not, as far as anyone can tell, grow the kingdom of God. The question then is whether they are called by God nevertheless. For example David Livingstone may have had only one convert (that he knew) in Africa -- but it was a very important convert.
