DOS Today

There were some very good computer programs for DOS (IBM PC DOS). Many of them were cutting edge before DOS was superseded in the early 1990s, and many of them sold for a premium. Many of them, today, are obtainable free. This week I (re) downloaded RightWriter, a grammar and style checker, from vetusware.com. OBSERVATION: I run DOS on Linux, through DOSBox, which is easy to do. One can modify the config.sys file, too, to set up (configure) DOS in all sorts of ways when one calls it up.
