Yesterday, in a post, I referred to false statements concerning myself. Two such statements, in as many months, came from the interim minister of my old city Church. Both would have served to terminate my membership of the Church -- if they were true. However, both were fundamentally, factually wrong. My attorneys wrote last week: "If one should wish to expel him, one should not hope to get it right the third or fourth or fifth time" (the interim minister's moderator also tried). OBSERVATION: If I had made such statements myself, I would truly have feared that my ministry could be at risk. Today it happens, and there is no indication that the matter is even addressed, and that after I give ample opportunity with gentle approaches first.
