Spinning It Out

I always keep to-do lists, where I have prioritised items under various headings. Every so often, then, I refresh my list. It keeps one focused and, dare I say, calm. Going over my list this morning, there is something that strikes me. In the case of regular items on the list, these are done, done, done, done. But items which have to do with government just keep transferring from list to list. The reasons are twofold: either they simply do not get to it, or they spin it out (and out). On my whole list -- which is about 60 items -- one or two ordinary items have been there longer than a year, but about ten government-related items. They really need to be more action-orientated.
