Postal Ballots

In the Church, we have proxy votes. These are votes where someone represents someone else. They are seldom used. However, when they are used, there is the possibility that they can be used fraudulently or manipulated -- particularly at those times when one doesn't need such complications. We had a suspect proxy vote once. I proposed that we allow it, saying that God could overrule suspect votes. It was the one vote which pitched the Church into turmoil -- for a while. OBSERVATION: The Americans seem to be a trusting lot, in their dependence on postal ballots. Such a system would be unthinkable here.
