Tabiteuea

There has just been a major gathering on the remote island of Tamana in the Pacific, to celebrate 150 years of the arrival of Christianity. Now a ship is making the journey north to Tarawa -- and passengers are posting pictures as they go. I travelled the same route, and still remember Tabiteuea (pictured). It looks to me here as it looked to me as a boy -- but I think we were closer. We didn't stop at Tabiteuea, although my father ministered there. It seemed to go on and on forever. It is 70 km long. Compare Tamana, which is 6 km long.
