Eastern vs. Western Cape

I sometimes wonder whether it was my blog that did it. Earlier this year, I put up photos of the Eastern Cape–Western Cape border. The Eastern Cape (ANC-controlled) is on the right, the Western Cape (DA-controlled) on the left. The leader of the opposition went there recently and filmed a television ad for the party: conditions in the Eastern Cape vs. the Western Cape. OBSERVATION: I joked that, if I were in control of the Eastern Cape, I would fine the Western Cape for painting yellow lines onto my side of the border. It is incidentally more than just the road which shows up the difference.
