Crippled by Guilt

I read Zelenskyy's statement last night, 

„Aber die russische Gesellschaft mit so vielen Mördern und Henkern wird für Generationen verkrüppelt bleiben -- und zwar aus eigener Schuld.“ 

People are crippled by guilt, he says. This is something that has loomed large for me in counselling. People who commit atrocities are some of the worst affected by those atrocities. They themselves may not survive what they have done. And often, they cannot accept that God forgives repentant sinners.
