During the last week, I was editing an article on gene editing. Many people do not realise that it is here, now. One can edit you -- or one can edit your offspring. It is limited, though, and there are glitches, and the ethical issues are largely undecided. OBSERVATION: I asked the author whether they could change my eye colour. The answer: eye colour is very complicated, because the bits that determine one's eye colour are distributed in one's DNA. Scientists might sooner kill you in the attempt.
