In ministry, one sees how the world really works, and it is not the sanitised version one often sees in the media. Here is one example among many. Years ago, a woman went to hospital complaining of suicidal thoughts. She was duly admitted -- then they took her into the basement and locked her up. I found her there, in this cell. "That's impossible!" said the psychiatrist. "It's illegal! We don't lock anybody up!" He himself had had her locked up.
