Renting a Room

Ministers, particularly in urban areas, are not exempt from various enticements -- and sometimes they are strangely presented. Here's an example. A young woman said that she wanted to see me -- she was a young professional in the area -- a doctor's assistant. She said that her marriage was dead. So far, nothing too unusual. I looked at my calendar. I said, "I have no opening this week, only next." She said, "I could rent a room." OBSERVATION: The meaning of that was clear -- but the motive was not. I had no further contact with her.
