Annual Philosophy Lecture

There have been various questions about my invitation to Europe, to hold an Annual Philosophy Lecture there. Here are the details. Things moved along incrementally since it was first suggested to me in December 2022. Then, in June 2023, I received an invitation, from an officer of the Philosophy Sharing Foundation of Malta. The following week, I accepted. This week, then, the Foundation's Committee informed me of unanimous agreement to bring me over. The invitation includes all expenses paid, from Cape Town, with an allowance. The subject of the lecture is Holism, on which I wrote for SHARE magazine in May 2023. My Annual Philosophy Lecture will be held in May 2025, in Valletta. The date may seem a long way off, but ... not really. The preparation for the lecture alone is great. OBSERVATION: It is early days, but this may be bigger than Malta alone -- and as is often the case, the lecture may form the basis of a new philosophical work. I like what the Foundation does, so my acceptance of the invitation is a heartfelt yes. It is funny that, just two years ago, when I said I was writing metaphysics, people looked at me strange.
