I did a new electronic design, and submitted it yesterday to the Aussies. This one took me a very long time—but it's groundbreaking. It uses a 1.2 GΩ potential divider, which is almost unheard of—and certainly the method is new here. This makes it possible to use very delicate sensors, in this case two LEDs in reverse, to detect light (not make it).
POSTSCRIPT: It is not strictly true that my circuit "dozes off" as I say. In passive mode it does. In active mode, it remains alert 24/7 over vast distances (measured in kilometres).
