A Third World (Growing World) seminary again appointed me yesterday as external examiner. They then send me a marking rubric, and a paper or papers. OBSERVATION: I have seen many papers, so it is fairly easy for me to assess where a student "is at". One does think twice about such questions as "Does this student deserve a distinction?" Also whether to take Growing World considerations into account: their language abilities, resources, research possibilities, and so on. It is the world's remotest seminary.
