I set myself the challenge of designing a (true) walking stick which would convert to a (true) stool. I don't think it has been done before. I completed a full-scale prototype, which proved my concept. Today I took a look around two huge aluminium warehouses in Cape Town. In spite of tons of stock of various kinds, they did not have the materials to make my walking stick. It may not be possible in this distant outpost of Africa.
