A more complicated post, this. It has to do with consciousness. I write about "the nameless Whole", such as that of Lao Tzu, Anaximander, Heidegger. This is the opposite of "the finite whole", such as a planet, or a machine, or a molecule. The "nameless Whole" lies beyond names and definitions. Now if only the finite whole exists, the existence of consciousness is impossible. But if it is possible, then it is beyond names and definitions.
