I am surprised I do not find this on my blog. In 2018, I was abducted at gunpoint, and interrogated for an hour-and-a-half. Gunmen held a gun to my back and a gun to my side (police issue Z88's), then drove my car into a cul-de-sac, and handed the situation over to a guard. The guard pulled a red car across the cul-de-sac. This was later confiscated by police. I was ordered to put my hands together, in my passenger seat, and hold my head down. But I realised that I could see the guard through a rear-view mirror. He paced back and forth across the cul-de-sac, to guard the prisoner (me). I saw that he began to walk out of range -- briefly -- and back into range. This became regular. Out of range -- into range. Out of range -- and I clicked open the car door. Out of range -- and I crept behind the car. Out of range -- and I darted for a nook in a wall. Now I looked stuck. It was a long wall, and I would be exposed if I moved. I crept along the wall, keeping low. After (I would guess) 100 metres, I was free. But not yet safe ...
