In time, one was able to piece together what happened to my brother-in-law, my wife's younger brother Ronny, who died three days after an accident. He was driving out of Humansdorp in the Eastern Cape, on the R102 -- a regional road which is notorious for accidents. He swerved to avoid a stray cow, found himself in the path of an oncoming pickup, swerved again, and went down an embankment. The car was so badly damaged that they had to cut him out. OBSERVATION: In spite of extensive injuries, he held court in hospital, and spoke with many people on the phone. Then suddenly, he was gone.
POSTSCRIPT: This is now (a month later) being treated as a suspicious death.
